It is fairly straightforward to update. You will not receive the 3.3. kernel through the update manager, but the patched 3.2 will of course end up there when it comes. If you want to try out the 3.3 kernel, just download these three files: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.3.7-precise/linux- headers-3.3.7-030307-generic_3.3.7-030307.201205211535_amd64.deb http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.3.7-precise/linux- headers-3.3.7-030307_3.3.7-030307.201205211535_all.deb http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.3.7-precise/linux- image-3.3.7-030307-generic_3.3.7-030307.201205211535_amd64.deb I would guess that you could install them with the software center by doubleclicking on them. If not, open a terminal and go to the folder you downloaded the files to and run dpkg -i *.deb -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/999910 Title: 12.04 64 bit System freezes (mouse, keyboard) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/999910/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
