I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 to a desktop machine with Radeon HD 5870 and compiz is using 100% when the screen is off. I didnt try any of the workarounds on this machine. There are so many workarounds mentioned and half of them seem to work only for half of the people. I dont know where to start... Why compiz can not stop itself when the screen is off (since there is nothing to show?) ...strange...
