This time with the kernel 3.7.0-030700rc2 it was even worst then before. It works for a while (about an hour-two) then it freezes again. After the restart the whole X session becomes unresponsive, second restart the same. Now I'm back on the 3.6.2-030602-generic (this kernel change solved the issue for now).
