@Edson: I have just checked it and it seems that the Xorg server starts even with no updated version: andrikos@Gauss: ~ $ dpkg-query -l |grep -e "video-intel" -e "fglrx" ii fglrx-amdcccle-updates 2:9.000-0ubuntu3 amd64 Catalyst Control Center for the AMD graphics accelerators ii fglrx-updates 2:9.000-0ubuntu3 amd64 Video driver for the AMD graphics accelerators ii xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.20.0-0~andrik1 amd64 X.Org X server -- Intel i8xx, i9xx display driver
Can you try keeping my intel driver, purging fglrx* altogether, reboot and then install the fglrx drivers from the default repositories? It doesn't matter that much, but maybe there is an additional issue on your setup. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1068661 Title: Unity does not load after installing fglrx/fglrx-updates in ATI/Radeon + Intel GPU hybrid systems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1068661/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
