Mathias Dietrich, thank you for testing the mainline kernel. Which v3.10-rc did you test? As well, did the mainline kernel you tested completely eliminate the problem, or just alleviate major symptoms?
If it did not completely eliminate the problem, as per http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page? an update is available for your BIOS (1.21). If you update to it, does it change anything? If not, could you please provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-1.21 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/896922 Title: Lenovo L520 - "psmouse.c: touchpad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync" and stops working for seconds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/896922/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
