Thanks for all the extra pointers... will try them once I get a base line for trusty. Unfortunately the standard triggers ubuntu-one & Deja-Dup may not be trivial to test. See #LP 1267590 But I'll try some other cpu intensive things... possiibly backup-manager with gpg.
