Meanwhile I tested both i915.semaphores=0 and i915.semaphores=1 neither of which did help in my case. But with i915.semaphores=0 my system became much more unstable and even crashed on its own after some days without stress on graphics (just ran some desktop apps like thunar or vlc for music only - no movies). With i915.semaphores=1 the system is at least stable (for some weeks) as long as I don't heavily use desktop applications. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1140716 Title: [regression] 3.5.0-26-generic and 3.2.0-39-generic GPU hangs on Sandybridge To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/dri/+bug/1140716/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
