Prabhakar: You're probably missing a BIOS setting to expand the Flat Panel view. Check your BIOS settings.
People! I am using Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64 on a Lenovo T500, with dual video: - an Integrated 'Intel' - a 'Discrete Graphics Adapter: ATI Radeon 3650 (Mobility HD) Due to many problems with the ATI drivers I am inclined to use the slower, but better supported Intel video (it has different problems). The BIOS allows me to turn the ATI off and use the integrated Intel, which is what I am doing now. I am following this thread, and while I am not willing to sacrifice stability using the No-Back-Fill (due to memory leaks), I was wandering if the Clear-Rather-Than-Back-Fill displays similar problems. I am also a bit cautious, since the provided patches touch the XOrg server itself. If something goes wrong I fear I may end up with a system that will not be revert-able to a working condition.
