** Description changed: Hi, on ubuntu 14.04 with kernel 3.13.0-93 everything with the screen resolution is fine. (beneath some undeterministic flickering at the startup..) On ubuntu 14.04 with kernel 4.2.0-42 the screen resolution is not working properly. It is too big. One could barely log in (because one could not click on the preferred user to log in, because it is not visible on the screen). Also on Ubuntu 16.04 with kernel 4.4.0-21, and "try ubuntu live"-mode, - the screen resolution is working not properly in the same manner. - + the screen resolution is not working properly in the same manner.
