If we can't find a better solution (which hopefully we can) Why does everyone ignore that fact that it does NOT have to be INCLUDED by default. Put it in the repos so people who want the fix can easily install it without having to compile from source. For example arch linux has it in their repos as xorg-minimize-fix.
