I can confirm this bug, also happening in a Acer TravelMate 5730. Freezes happen after being suspended, within 0-6 hours after resuming it. If I don't suspend, the machine runs smoothly.
Also for suspending it I have to do it twice. The first time never suspends, I just get the Screensaver. Then I try to suspend again and it works. Maybe is related? Hibernate does not work, I just get the screensaver everytime.
