@Andrea Vico same here seems to be the frame buffer doesn't work correctly. I boot only by setting the kernel options "nomodeset nosplash" then switch via alt+ctrl+F7 to a terminal where I can put my crypto passphrase. To get to the grub menu press ESC fast when starting the laptop. Intel Driver still seems to freeze so I stick to use vesa instead. Hopefully lucid will be usable in the future
