I tried updating libdrm from Geirs PPA without any luck, I still get freezes.
I also have Debian testing installed (using XFCE) on a separate partition. Here I also need to use the vesa driver to prevent freezing. I tried to update this to the latest libdrm and libdrm-intel1 (version 2.4.17.1), but that also freezes for me when I try to use the Intel driver instead of vesa. I will try to replace my Debian with Ubuntu Lucid to see if that is any better. -- [i855GM] Freeze shortly after X startup on Intel i855 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/447892 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is the registrant for xf86-video-intel. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
