This problem is only seen with 10.04 (lucid). It was not a problem for 9.10.
** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg HP Presario V2710US with ATI Xpress 200M 5955 graphics adaptor. Ubuntu 9.04 worked perfectly with this video adapter, but 10.04 does not. Google Earth will not zoom: the zoomed window shrinks from a diminishing rectangle to a dot, with radial rays emanating from the center. Also, noticed that YouTube videos cannot be expanded to full screen: Firefox crashes if that's tried. --- Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 DkmsStatus: GdmLog2: X: /tmp/.X11-unix has suspicious mode (not 1777) or is not a directory, aborting.
