Question #77496 on update-manager in ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+question/77496
Trenoweth gave more information on the question: Hello Marco > Your question #77496 on update-manager in ubuntu changed: > https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+question/77496 > marcobra (Marco Braida) proposed the following answer: > To get new release upgrade availability from Update-manager on a Long > Time Release as Ubuntu 8.04 you need to... > Open Menu System → Administration → Software Sources [ "Updates" tab] > Change from Release upgrade (listbox) "Long Time Support Release only" to > "Normal Release" > Hope this helps Thanks for the suggestions but the unfortunately the problem is not solved, so I've updated my question, and am also sending to you directly. The problem is I do not have any option to change Release upgrade - it simply isn't there! I have uploaded a couple of screengrabs to illustrate the problem, http://www.trenoweth.co.uk/Screenshot-SoftwareSources-1.png shows what I understand I should see http://www.trenoweth.co.uk/Screenshot-SoftwareSources-2.png shows what I actually do see. As can be seen, there is a lot 'missing' in the second shot.
