Tom proposed the following answer: Ok so yu are in 7.10? Can you find gparted and tell us all the information that it gives in the bottom half of it's window? Thanks Beeny :) Now go up to the button at the top right-hand corner - it should be something like "/dev/hdc 74.4Gb Media". When you click on it there should be 2 options, please choose "/dev/sda ...
