New question #78598 on Ubuntu: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78598
Shortly after beginning a session, the system crashes and I can't do anything to unfreeze it except turn off the computer and reboot. This began a few days ago, and it happens every time I use my pc now. By the way, this situation is worse than I ever had it in the course of 20 years running Windows! My guess is that this crashing is due to installing new applications which I have done at least 3 times recently. Furthermore, the Display control panel only loads its frame (borders with menu bar at top). I have run it several times after rebooting and it still doesn't load differently. Believe me, I don't want to return to Windows, but I am considering installing another distribution of linux. To solve these problems, do I have to start over with new applications? Should I go as far as re-installing Ubuntu? If the latter, how do I remove or otherwise deal with the present installation? 2 -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
