Question #78814 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78814
Tom proposed the following answer: Ahh brilliant. Floris has the right answer i think :) I was struggling there. So in a terminal console type cd /etc/apt ls sudo cp sources.list sources.list.010809 ls sudo gedit sources.list the sudo asks for your normal user password, not your SuperUser/Root one. The "ls" is a lower-case "LS" and shows a LiSt of what's in the folder. Hopefully the 2nd time you will see that "cp" has created a CoPy of "sources.list" in case editing it goes wrong.. The "sudo gedit" opens the text-editor gedit with SuperUser rights so that you can edit and save the file but you could just post the contents of "source.list" into here and let us see what's gone wrong. Good luck and regards from Tom :) -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
