Question #78814 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78814
Floris Douw requested for more information: Thanks for the advice about the back-up Tom, I forgot that. As for the commands, I think it is better to teach people to use gksudo for graphical programmes (e.g. gedit), rather than sudo. So the terminal commands you proposed would then become: cd /etc/apt ls sudo cp sources.list sources.list.010809 ls gksudo gedit sources.list The commands above allow you to edit the file; if you just want us to review the contents you might, alternatively, try: cat /etc/apt/sources.list then copy-paste the output. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
