We also have udev 182 in Buildroot, and that afaik works ok without any
patches (I don't use it myself though).
just tried to emerge udev with uclibc 0.28 and it fails -
with 'O_CLOEXEC' undeclared.
i plan on pushing 0.9.33 to stable asap and dropping everything older.
there's too much rot here to support.

ok, upgraded and busybox compiled.
now i have problem with lack of libnsl - it seems resolv is disabled
by default in gentoo's ebuild and there is no USE flag to enable it
