I'm using the arm-elf toolchain.
What version?
Where did you get it from?
By default that version of the dist package expects to use an
arm-linux toolchain for the non-MMU arm targets. Did you switch
to the arm-elf toolchain for some reason?

If there is another HOWTO or "getting started" document I should
