By default that version of the dist package expects to use an

to the arm-elf toolchain for some reason?

I was just following the instructions on this page:

http://www.ucdot.org/archive/tb/tb20020807.shtml

If there is another HOWTO or "getting started" document I should
follow, please let me know.

That is a little out of date relative to the 20070130 dist.
It is set to use an arm-linux toolchain for compiling non-MMU ARM.
So you must have changed the vendors/config/armnommu/config.arch
to set arm-elf as the toolchain right?

I tried both changing config.arch and using a command line option.

My advice is to install the arm-linux toolchain. Most of the
instructions on the ucdot web page above are otherwise the same.

I think I did a quick search for this once, and couldn't find it.

Does anybody have a link? Thanks.
