Hi Greg/Steve, One final question (I hope) regarding licensing formalities: What year copyright notice should I write?
Here is a sample heading I plan to add: /* * noextensions.c * * * Copyright (c) XXXX Snapgear * * See the file "license.terms" for information on usage and redistribution * of this file, and for a DISCLAIMER OF ALL WARRANTIES. * */ This heading is based on one of the Sun tclLoadX files. (I added license.terms to my directory, from a later tcl version.) I will add the headers per my customer's request. BTW, the reason they only "picked on" only some files is because they diffed our sources with the original tinytcl (dos) release. They only complain about new files. Yes, for SnapGear's part we intend all the extra files in tincytcl to be licensed under the same license as tinytcl itself. There is no question mark over tclLoadDl.c and tclHistory.c, they have copyright headers already. If tclLoad.[ch] came from newer tcl then they are covered by the same license. So for: tinytcl/extensions/ledman/ledman.c tinytcl/noextensions.c tinytcl/regex_compat.c tinytcl/regex_compat.h tinytcl/tclmod.c tinytcl/tclmod.h as created by Steve they are also licensed under the BSD style license of the tinytcl package. I am interested though in why they didn't pick on other files in tinytcl that don't have any sort of copyright/license comments in them? (for example dos.c?)
