I was using subversion on the trunk (using the commandline as in the
quickstart)
That was on the 24th of october.

Uh oh.  That is not good ApplicationGIS was not supposed to get into the

code base until 1.1 is out.  I'm checking the code base... 

I've just looked at the source code for 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 and it seems 
that they both use PlatformGIS, I can't find references to 
ApplicationGIS anywhere.  Are you downloading the SDK releases or are 
you using subversion?
