Sorry, I don't have the time to get the capabilities to work off of trunk, and indeed, I'm looking at this so I can tell my GeoServer users how to make their SLD files. Telling them to check out svn and work off of trunk is a bit much...

Cool, though all the SLDValidation from GeoServer does is run it through xerces which checks it against the schema.
