Great!
I'm not sure the audience goes beyond me ;-)
I'm flipping through the Eclipse RCP book right now, hope to be
hacking code soon, uDIG looks very promising. I'm in charge of a
GIS Department at a consulting company in Spain, and we have
decided to give this software a serious try for some of our
projects. Even though gvSIG is getting really big here I have found
uDIG to be a better architectural aproach to application
development, and being based on Eclipse it is very modular and
flexible (this is my belief at least).
So, great work, just trying to learn all this stuff for the moment,
not much to contribute except a word of appreciation.

I wasn't aware there was a very big audience for the 64 bit
version. Its just a matter of longer application export times.
I'll make this a standard procedure.

Awesome.
Just tried 64 bit version on my Linux workstation and the thing
flies, it is sooooo fast. I wasn't aware a 64 bit version was
available, this is new I guess.
Can't wait for the SDK.
Congratulations on the good work

Hi all,
uDig 1.1-RC10 has been released. The focus of this release was
largely for the third party developers so the changes that affect the
user experience are less notable than usual. However there are a few
salient and important changes:
* Layer Export now supports the option to export the layer in a
different projection
* Layer Export now has improved progress monitoring
* A number of stability issues have been addressed with regard to the
Layer Export functionality.
* Table view now supports select all when searching
* Performance when rendering a selection is now much better
Other than that the up coming SDK will have support for configuring
the tool bar and menu among other changes. For a more detailed
report of the issues fixed visit:
