Thanks Silvia - that is very amazing to me! We are using Java facilities (drawing an image with an alpha) in order to make Mylar work; so I am totally amazed the graphics card is involved at all. I am going to see if there is some kind of JAI switch I can throw in order to make it use pure java and not trust your graphics card to do anything ...

Is it possible for me to edit the JIRA you did? I am sorry but I can't find the way myself... :-(
How or where could I leave my comment and the replay to your requests?

Thanks

Silvia

Polygon Transparency Does not work
----------------------------------

                 Key: UDIG-1425
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1425
             Project: uDIG
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: API render
    Affects Versions: UDIG 1.2.M0
            Reporter: Jody Garnett
            Assignee: Jesse Eichar
             Fix For: UDIG 1.2.M0

>From silvia email:
{panel}
for polygon layer the fill transparency doesn't work: all the polygons are displayed with 100% transparency both at the beginning and if changed with the style tool {panel}

In IRC chat this is apparently the case regardless of if advanced graphics is turned on or not. Moovida thinks this is graphics card related so I am not sure how to reproduce.

I will ask Silvia to the "Mylar" button does anything to see if transparency is even possible on her machine.
