I have made a sample data zip (data-v1_2.zip) that has all the
existing data sets with the addition of the Natural Earth sample data. I
can send it to you but it is rather big, is there somewhere you want me
to upload it?

to have a "latest" link which point to the current release of
data-XXX.zip? Or could it be, that the 1_2 version is not final yet? I
guess its already referenced in the "Working with files" section of the
