Hello folks, I started reviewing some open issues. For Ticket http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1757 Andrea already merged the pull request into the master repository but I'm wondering that we haven't created a 1.2.x branch so far.
The main reason why we should have created the branch for 1.2.x bugfixes are the major changes on GEF Palette, upgrade to Indigo as well as the build system (PDE ant to maven) changes on the master repository. I would like to suggest to create a branch afterwards for the tagged release 1.2.2 (https://github.com/uDig/udig-platform/commit/a6bb2ceaa07c25d7c0fba8349fdf8f7d1c2eab46 --- http://udig.refractions.net/files/downloads/udig-1.2.2.html). IMHO the changes from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3 are major and therefore I would prefer a 1.3.0 release instead. Is it possible: - to create a branch afterwards in git repositories -- I guess there is a way ? - Is it possible to rethink version number for the current release train -- sorry for being late on this one :( -- and switch over to 1.3.0 instead ? What do you think about? Feedback is warmly welcome!!
