Ouch, mistake. Here is the link to the youtube video for the 128 thread > ? Nehalem: > ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ4shSQJTd0
Just so the record is kept right, the CPU is 8 core * 2 Thread/core.The chip is scalable to 8 sockets. Thus the box is 128 thread. I was wondering how 128 thread per socket could afford the power dissipation with no sacrifice to single thread performance. Even at around 25w/thread that would be 3.2kw/cpu! cheers Binu > Regards, > Moinak. > -- > ================================ > http://www.belenix.org/ > http://moinakg.wordpress.com/ > _______________________________________________ > ug-bosug mailing list > List-Unsubscribe: mailto:ug-bosug-unsubscribe at opensolaris.org > List-Owner: mailto:ug-bosug-owner at opensolaris.org > List-Archives: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=54 >
