yes same Machine only changing the OS by changing the Hard Drive.

http://pkg.opensolaris.org/dev/p5i/0/SUNWgnu-emacs-x.p5i
  and then the emacs version 23.1.1 from my Repository
http://ips.couchpotatofries.org/p5i/0/SFEemacs.p5i
in the Virtual Box using Opensolaris Build 122

The Result is:
   after installing both your emacs will have emacs version 23.1.1 
if you install first SFEemacs and then SUNWgnu-emacs-x you will have 
emacs version 22.1.1

maybe not yet 100 percent perfect  ;-)
