Hi All,
Let me start my apologizing for spamming this email alias. I really would like
a second opinion on this if you know abit about San's.
Basically we have a Engenio disk array connect to an IBM P Series box. The Disk
array has 2 x 200GB Raid 1 Luns. One lun is on Controller A and one lun is on
Controller B.
Both luns have been added to the same volume group under AIX and there is a
400GB file system created on the volume group. I'm assuming that AIX sees that
as a Concatenation of both luns.
What are people thoughts on this configuration, because my first impression was:
- Controller Failure on either controller would cause a short outage on one of
the luns while the path was changed to the redundant controller.
- Loss of either of the luns would result in an unreadable file system.
Regards,
Lupco Trpeski
