I assumed my x86 (sic) BIOS didn't support a DVD drive. I had a Pioneer DVDRW that I tried and couldn't get working.
I kept getting "ghd_timer_newstate: HBA reset failed hba 0xd9cffc00 gcmdp 0x0 gtgtp 0xd3554400" with the DVD drive. Perhaps I need to try a different DVDROM drive. There generally a consumable part so Sun wont want the faulty one back. =] Regards, Lupco Trpeski > Date: Mon, 1 Mar 2010 15:31:41 +1100 > From: andre at purplecow.org > To: Murray.Blakeman at synergy.com.au > CC: ug-msosug at opensolaris.org > Subject: Re: [ug-msosug] Installing Solaris 10 u8 > > > Boot from an older boot CD and install from a flash archive?
