Fellow Netters,The Vice President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya has called on Ugandans (see article below) to stop depicting President Museveni in cartoons and to stop insulting him. If Prof. Bukenya cared to compare the cartoons in question to those depicting Tony Blair in UK, George Bush or most other leaders in the Western Capitals or mature democracies, he would have discovered that political cartoonists in Uganda have been just too kind and good natured to President Museveni.Vice President Bukenya keeps forgeting that President Museveni himself is the lead master of insults. Why can't others not follow or be infected?Omar Kezimbira----------------------------------------------------------------Museveni cartoons bad - Bukenya

KAMPALA - The Vice President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya, has urged Ugandans to respect President Yoweri Museveni and to stop insulting him over radio.
He was, last Sunday, addressing some residents of Kampala Central Division, who organised a party to congratulate him upon his appointment as Vice
President. The party was held at Agha Khan Primary School in Old Kampala. He criticised newspapers, which draw run cartoons of the president.
"It is really absurd to hear someone abusing the president on radio and drawing him in funny cartoons without exercising any respect for him," Bukenya said.
He said some Ugandans despise Museveni, yet he is known, worldwide, as the best president Uganda has ever had."I am ready to support any leader who has a vision and who can lead this nation like President Museveni has done," said Bukenya.
Kampala Central Division donated a fully connected mobile phone to the Vice President.
