According to LRA spokesman, Sam Kolo, who was interviewed on BBC focus on Africa, UPDF/Amuka Militia apparently attacked the position of the "rebels".
The "rebels" retaliated and inflicted heavy causalities on the UPDF and Amuka..Kolo says they (meaning the rebels) captured very many UPDF army equipment.
It does appear that as a result of the defeat suffered by the UPDF, elements of the UPDF , as some sort of retribution, started massacring innocent Civilians in the Camps.
I strongly believe this is probably what happened. Moreover, the fact that Museveni's UPDF/NRA forces can easily massacre civilians is but a well established fact. Remembered Museveni's killers massacred people in Luwero, in BooChoro, Gulu, Kitgium e.t.c .. the truth shall came out.. After the war.
