Matek, did some one tell you that I drink so much?! I actually do not. Only occasionally at parties and special feasts (Like this coming weekend). This is our Mid-summer and I come from Scandinavia’s holiday resort number one!! This week end the population of this village which otherwise is only a few thousand (about 3000) will rock well over 100,000!!!

Assumption without tenable evidence does not hold. On the contrary it is contra-productive. All actors and international sympathizers hold back when they hear your kind talk. They want to help but they have to be convinced beyond doubt.

Only a couple of days ago I communicated with a renounce such from a well known Swedish University and Swedish Amnesty. My argument and theirs very much phase: they said the problem with the crisis in northern Uganda is that many of the actors and spokesmen are so despotic and narrow focused. They say each time they communicate with them, the Ugandan mix in tradition values and stand points that the ordinary Swede does not understand and it makes it even harder for them in SIDA to understand and evaluate appropriate help.

I was thrill to hear the professors view points. The same position as many of us. If we want help we have to present the truth like it is. And we have to present them in manners which people understand.

For example, a UPC like you arguing that the LRA does not exist yet our mothers, sister, brothers know that they do and that the one beasting them is the LRA. How the hell are they going to cast their votes to a UPC whose idea is a stumbling block to the kind of help they need?!?! NO WAY!!!

YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT BUT WE WHO.......KNOW THAT IT IS LIGHT OUT FOR POLITICIANS WHO ARE INCAPABLE OF RESOLVING THE CRISIS. MORE PARTICULARLY IT IS GOOD BYE TO POLITICIANS WHO THINK THAT IT IS OK FOR ACOLI TO RESIST THE REGIME IN UGANDA FOR THEM WHILE THE REST OF UGANDAN TRIBES BULGE IN AFFLUENCE.

NOC'L

THREE women were on Thursday hacked to death by the Lord's Resistance Army rebels in Pader.

The women were in their gardens in Latuu in Lapul sub-county, Aruu county.

The northern regional police commander, P. K. Arinaitwe, identified the dead as Christine Lakot, Mary Atto and Sylvia.

The northern army spokesman, Lt. Tabaro Kiconco, on Saturday said the army pursued the rebels, killing three of them on Friday. He said the army rescued eight captives.

Kiconco said two guns and 70 bullets were recovered from the rebels.

The rebels have continued to wreck havoc on civilian positions despite the ongoing peace talks mediated by former minister Betty Bigombe.
