Hi,
Currently, there are 3 types of translation file in the uim repository.
- in po/ (main)
- in qt3/chardict/po/ (for dictionary tool, uim-chardict-qt)
- in qt4/chardict/po/ (for dictionary tool, uim-chardict-qt4)
How about merging the translation files for dictionary tools
to the main translation file?
I guess that the reason the translation files are separated is
to give different translations to the same word,
for example "Arabic" in scm/iso-639-1.scm and
qt4/chardict/unicodeviewwidget.cpp.
But we can give different translations by the context feature in gettext
without separating files:

IMO, there are some advantages in merging the translation files:
- no longer need dirty workarounds
such as generate_makefile_in_in() and fix_aclocal_m4() in autogen.sh
- need to change only one file when updating translation
- no longer need to maintain similar 2 directories, qt3/chardict/po
and qt4/chardict/po
