What about SunBird from Mozilla? It integrates with FireFox and Thunderbird. You can share calendars, if you desire... though you must have a webdav server set up. Give it a look.

Subject: [UM-LINUX] Calender Software Options

I've realized that I really need to start using some sort of calender
software, and I'm looking for suggestions. I need something to keep
track of upcoming events and provide me with some sort of reminder. If
it also had a facility for keeping to-do lists, that'd be nice too.

I know there are a lot of programs out there, some are stand alone,
others integrated with email (e.g. evolution and lightning), and some
integrated with a desktop environment (KOrganizer). I'm using KDE on
my machine here on campus, so I tried KOrganizer, but I was never able
to actually get it to remind me of anything, so that wasn't so
satisfactory. I figure other people have plenty of experience here and
can offer guidance. I know Google Calender is one option, but if I can
get the functionality without completely giving up my privacy I'd prefer
that.

Additionally, it would also be really nice if I could use the software
to coordinate things with my girlfriend who is running OS X, so that
each of us could see the events on the other's calender and schedule
around them accordingly. Currently we use the dead tree method. I
though perhaps there's some sort of FOSS calender server software or
something out there that would enable this. Again, I realize that
Google Calender is a possibility here, but I'd like to explore other
options first.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Nick
