Alright i just tried to boot kubuntu for the first time since my failing... BIOS isnt recognizing a bootable partition on the external. Which leads me to my next question: I noticed while kubuntu 8.04 was running, that some things didnt work (clicking on network manager wouldnt open along with a bunch of other applications) not sure if this was just a bad install or if maybe i did something wrong, but im just wondering if 8.04 is my best option or should i use 7.10.
I just kinda want to get a feel for what people recommend for a beginner. So my question is first should i be using ubuntu or kubuntu (or any other distro for that matter) and which version is most stable and easy to use. All replies are appreciated as always. ---- Original message ---- >Date: Mon, 15 Sep 2008 19:12:03 -0700 (PDT) >From: Bob Schmertz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Re: [UM-LINUX] Dual boot GRUB error 21 >To: Scott Tomaszewski <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Cc: [email protected] > >Scott Tomaszewski incurred the wrath of Bob on Sep 15, by saying > >>Hey everyone >> >>I got it to work with my windows CDs.
