I have this problem (in Windows) too, but only in the Physics and CSIC
buildings. I am installing Fedora Core 11 soon and I will see if it happens
to me there also.

It happens with umd-secure and umd-secure-fast.

I have a Dell 1505 (Wireless N, Broadcom 43xx) card.

Subject: [UM-LINUX] WPA recurrent disconnects

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to know if those of you who regularly use the umd-secure
wireless network get recurrent disconnects?

They happen to me at least 1 or 2 times a day, but it really varies. I have
the latest wpasupplicant and wireless-tools installed running on a vanilla
2.6.27.38 kernel. My wireless chip is a broadcom 4318 (I have the feeling
this is the problem, because I've had issues with it in the past with low
signal connections). I use Network-Manager to connect to WPA.

If someone knows something that can help me, let me know
