One of the things I've become grateful for as I read posts from folks around the country is that we have school from 8:00 to 3:15 every day. You still can't get everything in you need, but it's better than some. I look at the school schedules in Oregon where my friend teaches and I'm amazed by how little the kids go to school! We do go many fewer days than other districts, though. We're currently at 182.
