Yeah! That's U+204A (TIRONIAN SIGN ET). I thought it was modern Irish; is it medieval?

It is used both in Medieval and in Modern Irish (in e-mail, we use digit 7 as substitute, as for example, in "beir bua 7 beannacht' as a fairly typical way to end an e-mail msg).
