I have a candidate to go into the demo in Etruscan which requires surrogates. I am not able to get a browser to properly display the characters although I have a font (James Kass Code2001) and it displays ok in Wordpad. I am using Win2000.
Has anyone been able to create HTML pages that use surrogate characters and get them to work with any of the browsers? If so, I would like instructions or tips to making it happen. I have followed the instructions at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/intl/unicode_192r.asp and changed my registry to allow surrogates. That didn't help. (Although I wonder if those instructions, written for Windows NT, are still correct for Win 2000, Win XP.) tex -- ------------------------------------------------------------- Tex Texin Director, International Business mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel: +1-781-280-4271 the Progress Company Fax: +1-781-280-4655 ------------------------------------------------------------- For a compelling demonstration for Unicode: http://www.geocities.com/i18nguy/unicode-example.html
