The concept of what computer encoding IS in the first place is something that many historical scholars lack. And then building on that some notion of what unifying and disunifying scripts implies.
Not that this necessarily should not be attempted, but it's very easy for us to forget how ignorant the other 99% of humanity, intelligent and learned though they be, is regarding computer technology.
