Incidentally, "Bangla" does not do a good job of rendering the Bengali word in English for those who wish to adopt the Bengali word since the obvious pronounciation is [bang-gla], whereas the Bengali word is actually pronounced [bang-la], that is, with a velar nasal at the end of the first syllable and no [g] at the beginning of the second.
