Both Hebrew and Arabic seem to use non-spacing combining characters, presumably other Arabic-like scripts too. I forgot to state explicitly in my docs, but let's just say that handling non-spacing combining accents is a prerequisite for BiDi support. Those emulators that don't handle them should be out of scope for our current discussion. cheers, egmont
