Yes, I agree. It's not clear to me whether this particular loop is a
siginficant part of the whole execution, but the code I'm working on deals with
matrices extensively (even 3d ones), so I wanted some opinions on such
computations in general. (Thanks to all who responded.)
I was also wondering about common subexpression elimination. So is the
optimizer in Icon's icont but not part of Unicon's icont? Is that waht you are
saying Clint?
