I had started to work with the rpm but unfortunately
haven't had the time to make another that I would be
happy submitting. I had used Samat Jain's as a base
some time ago. I recall a number of odd things that
may help.  I'll look at my old notes to see if I can
help at all.

One odd thing was the handling of the IPL.  Either the
rpm didn't install the IPL or it had to do something
kludgy to copy the IPL to a permanent location.  This
may be related to your problem.
