I want to put my vote in on this issue:  I consider a good interface to
C much more important than interfacing with .net.

While Unicon is very competitive "feature-wise" with languages such as Python
and Perl, it is significantly behind in terms of inter-operability with C, 
which these
languages enjoy.

I also feel that .net is (hopefully!) somewhat ephemeral, while the same cannot 
be
said of C.
