Interesting. I haven't tried the compiler, but the interpreted version
runs fine when I put ipl/lib before uni/gui in my IPATH and LPATH, but
dies (same behavior - quick window opening and closing and null value
error) when I put uni/gui before ipl/lib.
Do you have access to the interpreter to see if it has the same problem?
